香港出版總會

簡介

香港出版總會成立於一九九四年。由香港八家出版同業商會及出版企業聯合倡議創立。常任理事包括:香港圖書文具業商會、香港教育出版專業協會、 教育圖書零售業商會、香港書刊業商會、香港出版學會和聯合出版(集團)有限公司等機構,是香港最具代表的行業組織。香港出版總會一直致力提昇香港創意出版業的發展, 凝聚業界力量,積極關注和維護出版行業的合理權益。加強與華文地區及國際出版業界的交流和合作。

宗旨

  1. 維護、保障及促進香港出版業(包括出版、發行、零售)之合法及合理權益。
  2. 代表香港出版業,對與整個行業有密切利益關係的問題,與本港及國際有關機構進行接觸溝通或交涉;或代表整個行業,以發言人身份,表達意見,閘述觀點。
  3. 為本會會員服務。總會充份尊重每一個會員的獨立性,並不干預會員原有功能及事務。
  4. 為促進全行業的共同發展,鼓勵公正的商業行為。
  5. 促進會員及同業之間的友誼和業務上的合作關係。
  6. 舉辦或協辦有關本行業之展覽及其他推廣活動。藉此推動出版業的發展,使公眾加深對出版業的認識。
  7. 為發展及開拓香港以外的市場,向會員提供各種諮詢服務。
  8. 舉辦或協辦有關本行業的各種培訓,為香港出版業培養人材。
  9. 根據實際情況,設立各種福利基金,以增進會員福利。

HONG KONG PUBLISHING FEDERATION

Introduction

HONG KONG PUBLISHING FEDERATION founded in 1994. It is the most representative trade organization of the publishing industry in Hong Kong. Permanent Directors of Federation are Hong Kong Book and Stationery Industry Association Company Limited, The Hong Kong Association of Professional Education Publishing Limited, Educational Booksellers’ Association Limited, Hong Kong Book & Magazine Trade Association Limited, The Hong Kong Publishing Professionals Society Limited and Sino Unite Publishing (Holdings) Limited. The Hong Kong Publishing Federation aims to promote the development of Hong Kong’s creative publishing industry, strengthen industry cohesion, protect industry interests, and foster industry cooperation with its counterparts on the Chinese-speaking regions and the international publishing industry.

Objective

  1. To protect, safeguard, represent and promote the legitimate interest of the publishing industry (including publication, distribution and retailing) in Hong Kong.
  2. To represent the publishing industry in Hong Kong in communicating or negotiating with local and international organisations and governments on issues that have close impacts on the benefits of the publishing industry as a whole, and to express views and opinions as spokesman on behalf of the publishing industry.
  3. To serve the Members of the Federation but without interfering the existing functions and business affairs of the Members and to fully respect the independence of each and every Member.
  4. To promote the development of and to encourage fair commercial practice in the whole publishing industry.
  5. To promote the friendship between members and other companies in the publishing industry.
  6. To sponsor, organise, maintain, promote, manage and participate in exhibitions, lectures, seminars and other schemes and facilities for the promotion of all or any of the objects of the Federation.
  7. To provide advisory services to members for the development of overseas markets.
  8. To organise or assist to organise training courses relating to the publishing industry and to train the personnel in the industry.
  9. To establish different types of welfare funds for the promotion of the welfare of the members as the Federation may think necessary.
